The curriculum is a self-directed learning journey to democratize the CHL approach, methodology and tools. This eight module educational tool will support narrative practitioners to understand the ontological shift that is necessary to disrupt the core assumptions of capitalist modernity and equip practitioners with the tools to transform the critical narrative landscapes of our time.

In this module, you will explore how culture, as a normative system, contributes to global issues like resource exploitation and inequality. We’ll discuss our collective responsibility and the need to reassess and evolve our cultural systems beyond Anthropocentrism.

In this module, learn to identify narratives, their forms, and spaces. You’ll understand four principles of narrative forms, uncovering their visible, hidden layers, the interaction between these layers, and their interplay with other narratives.

Cultural Evolution
In this module, you’ll learn about Cultural Evolution through the lens of cooperative human behavior. You’ll understand narrative environments: disciplinary, control, dialogic, and communitarian, and their role in defining cultural contexts. This knowledge will help you grasp our model for life-centric cultural evolution and assess the sustainability of various societal systems in context of these environments.

What the Hack?
In this module, you’ll learn to execute a culture hack using your narrative strategy and point of view. We’ll define the message, meme, tone, media format, and optimal moment for your hack. Reflect on your work’s personal, community, and planetary implications. Prepare to learn from trials and errors, and to create narratives serving life.
